I've been with the Chicopee Chamber now for nearly a year I've also been a member of BNI. Both have been great for my business, however, they each hold certain client types that I'm sure any therapist would find. I call this client the Round Tuit. They say things like "I really enjoy massage.... I'll have to come see you some time..." but then all of their intent seems just that. All talk and no action. I'm not the type to force my services on anyone. Quite the contrary, I understand that massage is not for everyone and that people will hopefully find the therapist that's right for them. I believe we all encounter these Round Tuits in any business. They are proof that patience can pay off. Also, sometimes these clients give the true reason they waited to use your services. This lesson can be invaluable. Oftentimes, the relationship just has to be built to a certain level. The level of trust required for massage or any service can often be great and sometimes taken for granted by the professional. Build trust, no matter how long it takes, it is always important to have trust.
